Users management terms

Core terminology used across Spriv's control panel when managing users and admins.

Pairing

The process whereby Spriv links one specific phone with one specific username from one company. Triggered via the blue "Pair" icon, which sends a pairing email.

User Account

The user being authenticated by Multi Factor Authentication. Can have multiple username aliases. A user cannot log in to Spriv's control panel.

Admin Account

Same capabilities as a User account, plus access and editing permissions in the control panel.

Alias Username

Free, unlimited username aliases per paired account e.g. daniella@spriv.com auto-generates the alias daniella; you can add others like root or dani45ty.

Cross Domain

By default, a company can only send pairing invites to its own domain.

Search Admin/User

Search and edit accounts by name, phone, username, email, or Person ID.

Security note: for security reasons, Spriv will never receive nor authenticate your users' passwords. Your admin passwords for Spriv's control panel should be different than the password used in your domain.
