Logging in when internet service is down

If your internet connection is down or malfunctioning, a local credential and optional Bypass Code get you back into a Spriv-protected computer.

  1. Disconnect from the internet

Disable Wi-Fi or physically disconnect the computer from the network.

  2. Enter local credentials

Type in your local username and password as usual.

  3. Select BypassCode

If a Bypass Code was configured during install, type it and click the arrow to proceed. If none was set, leave the bypass-offline password field blank and click the arrow.

  4. Access granted

    You're logged in successfully.

Note: whether a Bypass Code exists depends entirely on what was configured when the Credential Provider was installed see the install guide for that step.
