How to remove Spriv Multi-Factor Authentication (RDP)?

  1. Reboot in Safe Mode: Start your computer in safe mode [instructions below].
  2. Navigate to Spriv Folder: Open “File Explorer” and go to:
    C:\Program Files\Spriv LLC\Spriv Credential Provider\
  3. Run UnregisterFilter.reg: Double-click UnregisterFilter.reg to remove Spriv Multi-Factor Authentication for Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) from the registry.
  4. Reboot Your Computer: Restart your computer.
  5. Spriv Login Screen: After reboot, the Spriv login screen will still appear.
  6. Select Original Login Method: On the left side of the login screen, select your original login method and log in to your computer.
  7. Uninstall Spriv Credential Provider: Once logged in:
    • Go to Control Panel > Uninstall a Program.
    • Select Spriv Credential Provider for Windows and click Uninstall.
  8. Reboot Again: Restart your computer.
  9. Verify Original Login: After the final reboot, only your original login method will be available.
