Pairing Adaptive Two Factor Authentication

Pairing Process: The unique process whereby Spriv links one specific phone with one specific username from one company. Spriv is pairing by sending a pairing link to the user’s mobile phone number, the user will be able to pair just by clicking on the link sent via SMS.

There are three pairing processes available: A) Pairing a user. B) Adding an administrator to an existing company. C) Pairing Administrator of a new company.

To stream line the user experience we suggest to request that the user install Spriv’s mobile application from Apple Store or Google Play before sending the pairing SMS to the user.

  • User Pairing process:
      • The administrator creates a user account, provides the user information including the user’s mobile phone number. For detailed instructions please click “User Management – Add Users”
      • The administrator sends a pairing invitation to the user.
      • The user receives the SMS with the pairing link.
      • The user clicks on the pairing link and voila the user is paired.

Important to know: for security reasons the SMS pairing link will be available for one pairing, once paired the link will no longer be available.

  • Adding an administrator to an existing company:
      • An existing administrator can create a new administrator account by accessing “Settings” > Administrators > Click on ‘Create Administrator account’ and provide the new administrator information including the administrator’s mobile phone number. Then go to “User Management” > “End User list” or “User Management” > “Search End User”, mark the new administrator account and click on “Invite”.
      • A pairing invitation is then sent by the existing administrator to the new administrator.
      • The new Administrator receives the SMS with the pairing link.
      • The new Administrator clicks on the pairing link and voila the new Administrator is paired.

    • The Administrator receives an SMS with the pairing link
    • Once the pairing is completed successfully, the Administrator will get a second SMS and will be required to reply to that SMS with “Yes” in order to activate the account.
    • The administrator will be able to access the account once the account is activated.
